Naloo Chameleon MK2 26"
The Chameleon 26" retains the adapted geometry, age-adapted components and light weight whilst changing the gear shifter from a twist shift to a thumb shifter. In addition, the tyres are slightly wider at 1.95" to meet a growing thirst for adventure! Add a luggage rack to transport everyday items on the rear!
SUPER LIGHT
NALOO bikes are around 30% lighter than conventional children's bikes, making them some of the lightest on the market. Because of the low body weight, a 1 kg weight reduction for children has a much greater positive impact than for adults.
Children notice this difference immediately: the bike is “easier to ride”, more manoeuvrable, easier to accelerate and even longer trips become child’s play. But the parents also benefit from the super-light NALOO bikes: not only because the children enjoy riding them more, but also because the "handling" in everyday life is much easier. Anyone who has ever had to carry a conventional children's bike knows what we mean!
CHILD-FRIENDLY GEOMETRY
A good children's bike is not a downsized adult bike - not even in terms of geometry. A successful geometry gives the children driving safety in every situation and they should feel comfortable on the bike from the very first moment. This is the only way they can quickly get to grips with the new bike and happily cycle many, many kilometers.
LOW BOTTOM BRACKET
Now standard on bikes for adults, a low bottom bracket is also a real advantage for children. The position when riding is more "inside the bike" than "above the bike", which leads to a much more stable and safer riding experience. This helps a lot, especially with children who are just learning to ride a bike
CHILD-FRIENDLY ERGONOMICS
Details count here: we have carefully tested and selected every single component. Grips with an extra small diameter, short and adjustable brake levers, suitable handlebar width, child-friendly saddle, crank length for best power transmission. Everything suitable for the respective age and body size.
HANDLEBAR
Normal handlebars have a backsweep of 8°. The wrist is severely bent and in an unnatural position. NALOO handlebars have a backsweep of 12°. The hand position is ergonomic and natural. The result: relaxed wrists and shoulders.
GRIPS
Normal grips have a diameter of 30 mm or more which children's hands can find hard to grip. NALOO grips have an adapted diameter of 25 to 28 mm. Children can completely wrap their hands around these grips and thus have much better control over the bike and tire less.
Q FACTOR
The pedal spacing (Q-factor) on lower-quality children's bikes is often the same as on adult bikes. This leads to a far too wide leg position which is unergonomic. NALOO bikes have a significantly lower Q-factor and bring the leg position into an ergonomic position that relieves those smaller hips and knees.
EDGELESS STEM
Conventional stems have screws and edges that can easily hurt a child. That's why we developed our own stem for the Chameleon bikes, without any screws or edges pointing towards the child.
INTERNAL CABLES
Look chic and above all: no more scratches from protruding cable holders.
